Plovdiv is the second-largest city in Bulgaria after the capital Sofia. The Ancient Roman Stadium of Plovdiv is an important monument of the ancient city.  It is situated beneath the main street from Dzhumaya Square to Kamenitsa Square. The Djumaya Mosque is considered the oldest European mosque outside Moorish Spain.
