You can see this Medusa inside the Basilica Cistern, also called the Yerebatan Sarayi, the largest of several ancient cisterns that still lie beneath the city of Istanbul in Turkey. The cistern, located next to the Hagia Sophia, was built during the reign of emperor Justinian in the 6th century.
