Sighişoara, located in the historic region of Transylvania, is considered the most beautiful and well preserved inhabited citadel in Europe, with an authentic medieval architecture.
Sighişoara is the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, historical figure who is at the origin of the fictional character known as Dracula.

Puebla de Sanabria is a town in the Spanish province of Zamora (Castilla y León), near the Portuguese border.
It is a very old town, documented since the
seventh century (Swabian and Visigothic periods). It has an important architectural heritage, which include the castle of the Counts of Benavente, built in the fifteenth century, and the church of Nuestra Señora del Azogue, built in the twelfth century in Romanesque style.

The Portuguese city of Chaves still retains the keep of a medieval castle. In the picture we see the tower lit by the evening light.

Chaves is the ancient Roman Aquae Flaviae. In those days was a city spa. Today it still is.
