The lake that gives its name to the park is the largest glacial lake in the Iberian Peninsula, with a maximum depth of over 50 meters. There are a number of lagoons and canyons scattered in the mountains that show the action of the activity of the glaciers of the Quaternary. The park has great landscape value.
